Not sure how many of you have read some emails and posts promoting supposed “words from God” that are giving out warnings that God is going to put forth judgments on people who don’t vote for life…They are saying that God is giving a mandate to vote…Let me tell you something these words have mixtures in them. During times of elections everyone gets very strong opinions…So much that these opinions seep into these “words from God” to override what God is really saying…its a manipulation tactic to get people to vote out of an ungodly fear…God is not going to cast judgments on people for not voting…Voting would be considered to be grouped with 1 Cor 8-10 about things that have to do with personal convictions or obeying your conscience. The bible talks about serving God with clear conscience and having a good conscience.
1 Tim 1:5 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
1 Tim 1:19 keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith.
1 Tim 3:9 {but} holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience.
2 Tim 1:3 I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience the way my forefathers did, as I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day,
There are no commands in the bible that specifically tell us to vote or not to vote. So every believer is free to follow the conviction of their conscience in such a thing. If God has revealed to you some scriptural reasons for not voting then by all means obey God. Likewise if the Spirit of God instructs you to vote for a specific purpose then that one should obey God. But neither are condemned when they do it unto the glory of God. But in all you do please pray first and wait on the Lord to direct you.
Matt 6:33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Phil 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
(Amp) Col 3:15 And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].
Remember David said unto Goliath…
1 Sam 17:45 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted.

And the scriptures say
2 Cor 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh,
2 Cor 10:4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.

AMEN! Thank you! I’m glad we’re not the only ones who have noticed all these “words from the Lord” about the election that were obviously false to us. I wrote something on my blog in response to all the scare tactics since I was so tired of everyone forgetting what their own Bible says!!!
